EC DAY 2016 Running for Cooperation

The IPA Cross-border Programme “Greece – Albania 2007 – 2013” has a strong reputation of organizing successful athletic events for the celebration of the European Cooperation Day. For 2016, the  IPA Cross-border Programme “Greece – Albania 2007 – 2013”, the Interreg IPA CBC Programme “Greece – Albania 2014 – 2020” & the Transnational Cooperation Programme Interreg V-B “Balkan – Mediterranean 2014 – 2020” will organize a Running Race for a distance of 11 km, starting from Kristallopigi in Greece and ending in Billisht in Albania.

The event will take place on Sunday the 25th of September 2016, at 12:00 noon Greek Time.

A maximum of 100 athletes from both countries will be able to participate.

Due to the limited number of participants and the symblic character of the event we urge you to register responsively.

Following the electronic registration, the organisers will contact you to confirm the participation. Only after communication with the organisers, the participation can be validated!

There will be trasport facility from Bilisht (termination point) to Kristallopigi (starting point):

• For the Albanian athletes at 09:00 (Albanian Time)
• For the Greek athletes at 14:00 (Albanian Time)

All travel documents shall be submitted in original to the organisers during athletes registration at Kristallopigi:

• For the Albanian athletes/ participants: valid passport
• For the Greek athletes/ participants: valid passport or ID of new form (with the name written also in Latin)

Participating athletes are personally responsible for fulfilling the conditions for their entrance in the countries hosting the event.
